- ➤ The Tri-Cities region is hosting a series of Christmas parades starting December 4th — Bristol at 7 p.m., followed by Marion on December 5th at 7 p.m. and Johnson City on December 6th at 10:30 a.m., with additional parades in Church Hill at 11 a.m., Rogersville at 4 p.m., Abingdon at 5:30 p.m., Kingsport at 6 p.m., Gate City at 7 p.m., Greeneville on December 7th at 2 p.m., and in Surgoinsville, Grundy, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, and Mount Carmel on December 13th. - ➤ Speedway Children's Charities raised a record $1.2M for 93 local nonprofits during its Night of Smiles event at Bristol Motor Speedway — awarding the Jeff Byrd grant to Feeding Southwest Virginia to update its equipment for children in need. WCYB
- ➤ ETSU’s Bucky’s Food Pantry offers students, staff, faculty, alumni and retirees food and hygiene products through weekly food boxes and emergency kits available at Buc Ridge, the D.P. Culp Student Center, and the Kingsport Campus in Allandale—donors are encouraged to contribute items like rice and cooking oil as a food drive will take place this Saturday at the final football game to help stock the pantry. - ➤ ETSU Department of Music is planning its annual Holiday Concert, Glory Shone Around, with over 250 musicians — students, faculty, and guest artists — set to perform at the Martin Center’s Grand Hall. The show will take place on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday, December 6 at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m., with tickets available at the center's box office. The East Tennessean

- ➤ EO, a local nonprofit, runs Project Health—a program that helps students aged 16 to 24 overcome barriers to entering healthcare by providing funds for tuition, books, and more. - ➤ The Buccaneers women’s basketball team cruised to a 69-31 win over the Claflin Lady Panthers on Nov. 15 at Brooks Gym as they built an early 41-14 lead and held Claflin to low scoring in each quarter—showing strong finishes despite a third-quarter lull. - ➤ ETSU women’s volleyball became SoCon Regular Season Champions after defeating Wofford 3—1 on November 14 at Brooks Gymnasium and finished with a 21—6 record overall and 15—1 in conference play. The team clinched the top seed for the SoCon Tournament, which begins today, and will play the winner of the match between Western Carolina and The Citadel on November 22 in Asheville.
