Train enthusiasts gathered in Jonesborough on Saturday to see model railroads + historical artifacts at a show in the Jonesborough Elementary cafeteria. Proceeds will support the local Watauga Valley Railroad Museum, with tickets at $7 for adults and free for children under 12.
The Reece Museum at ETSU earned three statewide awards (Block Buster Exhibit, Public Programming, Publication) for its exhibition 'The Place Speaks: Sacred and Artistic Genealogies of Appalachia' that showcases local art and history; this marks the museum’s first triple honor for one exhibit.
