  • Wreaths Across America will honor veterans at Mountain Home National Cemetery at noon on December 13 — organizers are halfway to their goal of 9,300 wreaths and a sponsor can donate one for $17.  WCYB
  • Runners and families in Johnson City took part in the annual 'Up and At Em' Turkey Trot 5K on November 28, marking 20 years of the tradition before Thanksgiving dinner. Many participants wore commemorative shirts and finished with smiles and high-fives—showing a strong local spirit.  WCYB
  • Candyland Christmas returns downtown today and runs until January 4. The event kicks off with a Grand Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m. on Commerce Street in front of the Landmark Sign and features over 180 decorated trees created by local businesses and community groups — displayed from King Commons to Founders Park and Main Street.  WFHG

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion announced its first lineup for the 25th anniversary celebration on September 13; the festival will feature 25 artists including Sierra Ferrell, The War & Treaty, Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, and The Del McCoury Band with tickets available at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum Store, which offers a free museum admission ticket with each 3-day general admission purchase between Nov. 28 and Dec. 31.  WCYB
