SuperTalk 92.9 and The Pinnacle have partnered with the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to help make sure no child is without a Christmas gift this year.
The drive will take place at the Pinnacle between Belk and the Great American Cookie Company from December 3 to December 6 — donations will be accepted Wednesday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday from noon to 7pm.
Raising Cane’s has announced plans to open a restaurant in Johnson City by summer 2026; the company said construction will begin within the next month (company statement).
Organizers of the annual Johnson City Turkey Trot 5k announced driving restrictions on Thanksgiving morning — the race starts at the corner of East State of Franklin Road and Legion Street at 5 a.m. — and the route covers several city streets with traffic reopening around 11:30 a.m., while free parking is offered in city lots on a first-come, first-served basis.
