- ➤ The Bristol Motor Speedway Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities set a new record by raising $1,251,669 last year at its Night of Smiles event—money that will help children in over 18 counties in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia—adding to more than $22 million raised since 1997. The event also kicked off The Food City Speedway in Lights, which will open Friday. WFHG
- ➤ The CSX Santa Train is set to bring Christmas cheer to children in Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee today. The train will begin its 110-mile journey in Shelby at 6 a.m. and end in Kingsport at 2:58 p.m. WCYB

- ➤ Officials announced that Sierra Ferrell will headline the 25th Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion from September 11 to 13, 2026 — she first performed at the festival in 2021. Organizers will reveal more artist names on November 28 — adding further excitement to this roots music celebration. WCYB
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Integrated Health Concepts opened a new breast milk collection site in Bristol in partnership with the Mothers' Milk Bank of Tennessee to provide pasteurized donor milk for vulnerable infants. It is the 26th site and donors must complete a screening before contributing. WCYB
