The Bristol Hard Rock casino made $22.3 million in adjusted gross revenue in August, its third-highest monthly gain after paying out winning bets — 6% of which went to a regional commission that funds education, roads and public safety in Bristol and surrounding areas.
The commission has collected $35.4 million in funds since the casino opened in July 2023.

Kenny Chesney, an ETSU alumnus and country music star, announced his book tour will begin on November 1 at the Martin Center in Johnson City to discuss his auto biography 'Heart Life Music' with co-writer Holly Gleason.
He said he chose Johnson City because it is where he first dreamed of a career and honed his craft in ETSU’s Bluegrass program—tickets will go on sale Friday when attendees receive a copy of the book.
