- ➤ People from across the region gathered Friday night at Winged Deer Park Lakefront in Johnson City for the Meet the Mountains Festival—an event that showcased free outdoor activities like zip lining, kayaking, and mountain biking; today the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with over 100 food and business vendors and a special ultimate air dogs act. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Milligan University hosted its annual Campus Workday Friday to finish campus improvements—completing renovations to an older dorm and updating food service—in preparation for student move-in, with classes set to begin August 26. WCYB
- ➤ ETSU freshmen will start classes next week with over 100 students temporarily living in hotels+hotels will provide transportation and full campus access until these students move into residence halls later in September. WCYB
