- ➤ A 40-year-old man in Jonesborough, identified as Danny Lee Greene, was arrested on July 31 for allegedly setting a home’s front yard on fire and firing five shots toward the residence on July 25+ he now faces charges of reckless endangerment, prohibited weapons and attempted aggravated arson. - ➤ East Tennessee State University released its documentary 'The ETSU Marching Bucs: A Comeback Story' that follows the band’s growth from a small group after the football program ended to an invitation to perform at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade + several staff, including director Joe Moore, previewed the film on Tuesday. - ➤ Families, former students, and staff gathered at Wise Primary School today to open a time capsule buried 25 years ago during the playground’s construction that contained newspapers, a VHS tape, letters, and a Backstreet Boys CD — a reminder of the community’s teamwork and long-lasting memories.
