- ➤ A new airline carrier will add two daily nonstop routes from Tri Cities Airport in Blountville to two international airports on the US East Coast by year’s end—ticket sales will begin in the coming weeks and a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday at the airport. WFHG

- ➤ Johnson City Police Department is investigating after shots were fired shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday when shell casings were found on the 600 block of Spruce Street—one round hit a vehicle and five struck a house with no injuries, and no arrests have been made. WCYB
