ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A pedestrian was hit by a southbound vehicle while walking north along Highway 19E near Northeast Community Credit Union on Friday night at 9:40 p.m.+ they were taken to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment while the driver was unharmed. WFHG
- ➤ The Johnson City Fire Department responded Saturday after a fire on the 1700 block of Lone Oak Road just after 9:15 p.m. that was contained to one condominium unit by 9:40 p.m., with one resident transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation & no other injuries were reported & the cause remains under investigation. - ➤ FBI and Hamblen County police arrested 48-year-old Samuel Bobby Campbell, who posed as a Publishers Clearing House rep to con elderly residents and steal over $1 million+ he was caught when collecting $75,000 from a victim. WFHG

- ➤ Todd McKinley, the Sullivan County Board of Education’s 5th District representative and former President of the Sullivan County Veterans Memorial, was elected and sworn in on Sunday as the State of Tennessee’s Department Commander of the American Legion—he will lead the organization as its chief executive officer, managing programs and policies while serving as a liaison with the national office.
