Tri Cities Airport Runway 5/23 remains closed after a sinkhole measuring about 20 by 20 by 17 feet was found beneath the runway.
Repair efforts are underway and passengers should check with their airlines (Runway 9/27 remains open for operations).
Tri-Cities Airport’s main runway remained closed Wednesday because of a sinkhole; concrete was poured for repairs + crews allowed time to cure before further work.
Airline decisions on delays rested with each company, so passengers were advised to check with them directly.
