A new crossover agreement (Bears to Bucs) was signed to allow Northeast students to transfer from Northeast State Community College to ETSU in Blountville; ETSU President Brian Noland said the plan removes credit transfer barriers and helps build future leaders.

ETSU and Northeast State Community College signed the Bears to Bucs transfer agreement yesterday, guaranteeing Northeast State students admission to ETSU, library access and attendance at games and events.

The deal aims to reduce barriers to earning a degree.

Ballad Health and local orthopedic physicians have launched the Appalachian Highlands Orthopedic Network to boost regional care.
