- ➤ Authorities identified remains found on March 13 in the wooded 3700 block of East Stone Drive as 39-year-old Lawrence Miller from Dalton, Georgia who was last seen in Atlanta in January 2024+ his death was ruled a suicide by the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center. WFHG
- ➤ The Carter County jury dismissed its deliberations at 5 p.m. today and will return at 9 a.m. on Tuesday in the murder trial of brothers Jacob and Joshua Hitchcock—charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the 2023 death of their father, William Hitchcock Jr. WCYB

- ➤ News 5 showed bear cubs released into a remote area of the Cumberland Mountains after their mother died in a car crash on Highway 19-E in Sullivan County. TWRA said the cubs were eating solid food and climbing trees & that it is working with Appalachian Bear Rescue to set new rules for bear care. WCYB
