Boone Lake residents are forming a coalition to ask TVA to lower water levels at Watauga and South Holston, hoping the move will improve boating safety; the group will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the BrightRidge center in Johnson City.
Ballad Health announced that construction is underway on a $72 million expansion of the emergency department at Johnson City Medical Center & the project will add more space and new technology to boost care for pediatric, adult, and trauma patients.
Construction will be phased through next year to limit disruptions for patients and visitors.
