Good Samaritan Ministries announced registration is open for its summer food program—providing food boxes to more than 500 families with school-aged children in Northeast Tennessee during June and July.
Executive Director Aaron Murphy is asking for community help—both volunteers to pack boxes and donations of non-perishable items.
David Crockett High School students are leading a community recovery project called Nolichucky Blooms to help families whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Helene last fall.
The students will soon begin planting donated plants to beautify affected properties in partnership with the Washington County Long-Term Recovery Group — a student-run effort that includes managing logistics and designing flyers.
