- ➤ The Honor Flight of the Appalachian Highlands sent over 20 local veterans on Friday morning from Jonesborough Senior Center to visit memorials in Washington, DC. The community will welcome them back Sunday at 5:00 p.m. with a celebratory gathering lining the streets. WCYB

- ➤ Officials reported that a plane with engine trouble landed safely at Tri-Cities Airport on Friday morning. WCYB

- ➤ United Airlines flights from Tri-Cities Airport to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport will begin on Oct. 25 instead of the originally planned June 8 due to FAA capacity constraints at O’Hare. The change aims to ensure safe and efficient operations during the peak summer season. WCYB
- ➤ The veteran owned Tri City Shuttle Company expanded its fleet for transporting residents+visitors across the Tri Cities after holding a ribbon cutting ceremony in Kingsport on Friday, May 1. It began with three vans in Bristol a year ago and now has nine with plans to add three more. WCYB
