- ➤ Boones Creek Christian Church & International Disaster Emergency Services are partnering on four active home-build projects in Bumpus Cove as volunteers work to repair 20 homes still in need nearly 1.5 years after Helene; they need building materials and food to keep the work moving forward. - ➤ American Ninja Warrior competitor Whitney Miller launched a Healthy Kids Running Series for children 2-14 in Johnson City at Civitan Park every Sunday at 3 p.m.; the program, sponsored by JC Movement Co + LaCarreta, offers races starting April 12 through May 10. WCYB
- ➤ Jersey Mike’s customers in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia raised $121,500 for Special Olympics during the Month of Giving campaign in March, with donations boosted by a Day of Giving on March 25 when 100% of sales went to the cause. WCYB
