- ➤ Second Harvest Food Bank in Northeast Tennessee said it remains well-stocked despite USDA cuts and is working hard to feed the hungry. Executive director Rhonda Chafin explained the food bank has plenty of nonperishables and will soon distribute supplies during holy week and summer feeding while it works with lawmakers and local volunteers to secure needed resources. - ➤ A couple in Poga plans to open a glamping retreat called Hidden Harmony with 10 domes for couples but local residents have raised concerns about increased traffic and the safety of children—fueled by rumors that the retreat might operate as a brothel. Property owner Bastian Yotta insists the project will focus on spirituality and family connection and has submitted all proper paperwork for county approval. WCYB

- ➤ Officers responded to a shooting in Johnson City early Sunday—at the Downtown Square parking lot at 150 W State of Franklin Road around 1:50 a.m.—and found a person with gunshot wounds to a finger and leg that are not life-threatening, and no arrest has been made. WCYB
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City is facing a major boiler failure that is affecting hot water, steam and temperature controls needed for patient care. Engineers are working to fix the problem with repairs expected in 24 to 48 hours—Ballad Health has redirected labor and delivery patients, postponed elective surgeries and stopped new inpatient admissions while keeping the emergency department open.
