  • BWXT announced Tuesday that it notified the NRC of its plan to apply for a uranium enrichment license for a new facility next to its current Nuclear Fuel Services site in Erwin. The company expects to submit the application in the first quarter of 2027 and create around 100 high-skill jobs with operations anticipated by 2035.  WCYB

  • The Kingsport Fun Fest Summer Concert Series lineup includes Jeremy Camp and Katy Nichole on Thursday, July 23, Daughtry and Switchfoot on Friday, July 24, and Brothers Osborne and LeAnn Rimes on Saturday, July 25 — tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. at funfest.net.  WCYB
