The Washington County Board of Education Chair expects a motion to censure District 4 rep Keith Ervin after he made an inappropriate comment toward a student board member — an emergency meeting is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. Ervin says his remark was taken out of context.

Good Samaritan Ministries hosted a free eye clinic in Johnson City Monday, providing free eye exams and eyewear for local residents.

The clinic, which has served over 1,000 children and adults in 20 years (and runs four days a month), is scheduled to offer its next session on April 15.
