- ➤ Good Samaritan Ministries in Johnson City is struggling to meet growing community needs as it runs its food pantry from morning until noon with limited resources. The ministry asks for donations of non-perishable foods, canned vegetables, and meat and needs volunteers to pack and load boxes — tasks that take only a few hours — to help local families. WCYB

- ➤ Today, the SBA reopened its Business Recovery Center in Washington County to help those affected by Helene, offering disaster loan guidance at Cherry Grove Baptist Church—open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.—to support recovery efforts. - ➤ Former federal prosecutor Kat Dahl filed a new motion in her lawsuit against the Johnson City Police, saying she was fired for raising concerns about their failure to investigate Sean Williams and asking the judge to take judicial notice of claims from a New Yorker article and reopen discovery in her federal complaint filed in June 2022.
