- ➤ Pennyman's Diner announced its permanent closure after its building could not be brought up to code because of outdated equipment and structural issues. The fire department halted operations on Wednesday and the diner apologized to customers and staff. WFHG

- ➤ Officials with David Crockett Birthplace State Park will launch a historic travel tour by moving a steppingstone from the Crockett family cabin in Northeast Tennessee to The Alamo in San Antonio for a ceremony next Friday.
