The 4x4x48 charity challenge returns on March 20 at 12 p.m. at Observation Knob Park and Campground to support the Kingsport Lifesaving Crew.
Participants can walk, run, hike, bike, or try a CrossFit option (with a $50 fee) and will receive a T-shirt and meal on March 21.

On Tuesday, five finalists at Eastman Chemical Company's 12th annual Black History Oratorical Contest delivered speeches celebrating Black pioneers in STEM.
Dobyns-Bennett High School senior Jaya Vashisth won first place and a $1,500 scholarship while 35 students submitted essays for the contest.
