- ➤ Make-A-Wish East Tennessee celebrated two wishes last week by granting sensory room supplies for 7-year-old Leena Manning, who has a rare disorder, & a camper with gear for 7-year-old Sterling Curtis, who has a chromosomal deletion and seizure disorder. - ➤ State climatologist Andrew Joyner explained that parts of Northeast remain in severe drought as some areas are abnormally dry. Recent rainfall improved water levels, but experts continue tracking groundwater recharge impacts (reports are invited). WCYB

- ➤ Twisted Roots Healthcare opened Monday in Boones Creek. - ➤ The owners of rare giraffe Kipkee, born with no spots in Washington County, detailed her cause of death after a necropsy at the University of Tennessee. The report said a congenital liver condition prevented her from breaking down food and led to her rapid decline in November. WFHG
