Make-A-Wish East Tennessee celebrated two wishes last week by granting sensory room supplies for 7-year-old Leena Manning, who has a rare disorder, & a camper with gear for 7-year-old Sterling Curtis, who has a chromosomal deletion and seizure disorder.
Both families expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community support.

State climatologist Andrew Joyner explained that parts of Northeast remain in severe drought as some areas are abnormally dry.
Recent rainfall improved water levels, but experts continue tracking groundwater recharge impacts (reports are invited).

Twisted Roots Healthcare opened Monday in Boones Creek.
Eva Jessee and her daughter Kali Holt, ETSU-trained nurse practitioners, launched the direct primary care clinic to offer low monthly fees with 24/7 access, discounted medications and labs, and a free clinic day Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The owners of rare giraffe Kipkee, born with no spots in Washington County, detailed her cause of death after a necropsy at the University of Tennessee.
The report said a congenital liver condition prevented her from breaking down food and led to her rapid decline in November.
