- ➤ Ballad Health will build a new hospital behind Walmart off exit 34 in Unicoi this spring, following the destruction of Unicoi County Hospital by Helene. Local officials and state leaders say the project will restore essential care services for the community + boost regional resilience. WCYB
- ➤ Ballad Health has announced a new hospital in Unicoi County on a 14 acre property off Zane Whitson Drive behind Walmart in Unicoi. It will break ground this spring and is expected to be fully operational by 2028—restoring local healthcare services lost after the flood. WCYB
